Garibaldi Lake x Black Tusk

3 days of hiking and climbing. A 35 pound backpack. No washrooms or showers. Eating freeze dried meals out of bags. The most turquoise-coloured lake I've ever seen. Scaling ancient lava rocks with no rope and no anchors. And an unforgettable experience and a huge sense of accomplishment for this first time hiker in Squamish, the outdoor recreational capital of Canada.

Day 1 | Rubble Creek parking lot to Garibaldi Lake, 9km
Day 2 | Garibaldi Lake to the top of Black Tusk and back, 12km
Day 3 | Garibaldi Lake back to Rubble Creek parking lot, 9km

The struggle was definitely worth the reward. The hashtag #beautifulbritishcolumbia really rings true.
